Over the last 11 years, the Next Generation Alliance’s membership, under the direction of Dr. Tim Robnett, has grown to include more than 200 evangelists. In 2008 alone, 33 evangelists were accepted as new NGA members. Global Representation of NGA Membership

Through NGA’s Arise Uganda in 2004 and its subsequent work from 2005-2007, more than 610,000 people heard the Good News of Jesus Christ, and 66,000 publicly responded to the Gospel. The success inspired similar outreaches in India and South America, and the desire for an even broader reach in Africa.
Arise Africa ’08 was the natural next step. From September 2-5, 2008, nearly 300 evangelists and church leaders came from Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, D.R. Congo, Malawi, and Uganda to Gaba, Uganda. There they received training and encouragement from 12 local and international NGA evangelists and their key staff. Read the full story here

From April to July 1994, one of the most horrifying events in modern history occurred as nearly one million Rwandan people were killed in the span of 100 days.

Luis Palau’s Next Generation Alliance® launched Arise Uganda in July, 2004 as an outreach in partnership with Africa Renewal Ministry. In just one month, 15 cities were reached through 12 evangelists and their teams. Christians were trained in friendship evangelism and how to lead people to Christ; IDP camps were reached with the Gospel; medical clinics brought relief from physical ailments; conferences equipped church leaders to a new level of ministry; and children’s programs, sports clinics, and competitions brought fun for the youth.
